"I started CrossFit in December of 2010 but really started to ramp up my training and take things seriously in 2015. I love the competitive aspect of the workouts and started competing in 2016 and have done between 15-20 competitions individually and as part of a team since then. I received my CrossFit L1 certification in September 2018 and started coaching locally October 2018." In addition to coaching and competing, Scott is the programmer for GRIT's daily workouts and strength training and in 2023 Scott received CrossFit Level 2 certification.
"After 21 years in the fire service, a career that demands physical fitness, I enjoy helping others meet and exceed their own personal goals. I started cross training in 2013 and enjoyed the movement functionality that overlapped with my firefighter training. I received my CrossFit L1certification in 2018, started coaching locally and started a CrossFit affiliation within my fire department: CrossFit VHFD." In 2023, Chad achieved his CrossFit Level 2 certification.
"Fresh out of graduate school and starting a new career in Nurse Anesthesia, I was out of shape and needed a workout I could get excited about. In 2013, friends encouraged me to give functional fitness a try and it didn't take long to realize this gym community was more than an hour workout. Transforming myself turned into wanting to help others do the same. I received my Certified Nutrition Specialist certification in 2019 followed by my Personal Trainer certification from the American Council on Exercise (ACE) in 2020. I have been coaching group classes and personal training ever since and love how fitness brings people together."
"I grew up playing sports as a kid and Varsity wrestling in high school. A good buddy talked me into trying CrossFit and I was hooked from the first workout. I've been training and competing 4 years now and I love the daily challenge it provides physically and that my progress is measurable- when we repeat workouts and lifts. I received my CrossFit L1 certification in 2021 and enjoy watching GRIT athletes set goals and work to reach them."
